Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Holdings, Inc.’s Valuable 500 Commitment
Creating an inclusive environment
We recognize that strengthening human capital is vital to reinforcing our business foundation and achieving sustainable growth. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) is a key theme closely tied to the focus areas of our new people strategy, enhancing our people, culture, and organization. Through our integration and consolidation processes, we have brought together people and cultures representing a multitude of values. We see the diversity of each and every employee as a critical asset. To leverage this diversity as a strength, we are focused on creating an inclusive environment where all employees can fully express their potential, regardless of differences. Our efforts include increasing the ratio of female managers, encouraging more male employees to take childcare leave, and addressing the gender pay gap.
Mixture of colorful values and ideas
Our mission is to “Deliver happy moments to everyone while creating value.” To achieve this mission, we prioritize— above all else— ensuring that each employee works happily in a culture that is fair. The driving force for creating new value is the mixture of colorful values and ideas, woven together by our personnel with differences in age, race, nationality, disability, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and work style.
We will continue to be a company that connects with our customers and society in our own way, with diverse personalities working together.
Para-athletes and deaf athletes
We recruit para-athletes and deaf athletes to support the endeavors of people with disabilities. In addition to pursuing both sports and professional careers, these athletes contribute widely to the community by working with us to provide disability awareness classes and barrier-free sports experiences, fostering a shared future.
Employment of people with disabilities
In 2019, one of our group companies was certified as a special purpose subsidiary, to create a work environment where individuals with disabilities can demonstrate their strengths. The subsidiary offers a variety of work positions, including laundry, administrative, and equipment parts washing to allow each person to demonstrate their unique qualities and abilities.
