Pinsent Masons LLP’s Valuable 500 Commitment:
With a few honourable exceptions, the business community has not been as vocal or active as it should have been in recognising and addressing the challenges faced by disabled colleagues. There is so much more we can do individually and collectively to create opportunities that enable disabled members of the community to deliver to their potential. With that in mind, we are delighted to commit to the Valuable 500 campaign as part of our wider agenda to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and to ensure that all aspects of inclusion, including disability, feature prominently on our Board agenda.
Given that culture is a strategic priority for the firm, it is crucial that all our people feel valued, seen and heard in a psychologically safe environment.
We have therefore commissioned a project specifically aimed at addressing opportunities and challenges for individuals with disabilities. Focusing on the lived experiences of our colleagues with disabilities, mental health conditions, long-term health conditions or neurodiverse personalities, as well as those caring for someone with these conditions, our project aims to tailor our support systems to better meet our people’s needs through workplace adjustments, mental health resources or career development opportunities.
