Valuable Directory member:

As part of our Accountability For Action campaign, we’re shining a light on some members of our Valuable Directory – a global community of business-to-business disability inclusion experts and service providers.

Here’s a roundup of some of the great work our Directory partners are doing in the disability inclusion field. Our first spotlight is on Current Global.

Current Global:

Communications agency Current Global are leading the way in helping businesses achieve Inclusive Representation. As a thought leader in disability inclusion, they have created Accessible by Design, an industry-first commitment to making communications accessible to people with sight, hearing, and cognitive disabilities.

They recently partnered with Adidas on their award-winning Runner 321 campaign, helping neurodivergent runners get to run in the world’s biggest marathons.

Based on the belief that when you see yourself represented in sports, you begin to see the possibilities — Adidas has called on the world’s largest organised marathons to hold BIB 321 (a number representing trisomy 21 for people with Down syndrome) for a neurodivergent athlete who qualifies, aiming to promote greater representation in mainstream sports.

All six of the world’s major marathons (Boston, New York, Tokyo, London, Berlin, and Chicago) have now reserved BIB 321 for a neurodivergent athlete.

Every day, content is shared that is inaccessible to the 1.85 billion people living with disabilities. Current Global are proud to champion disability inclusion and appreciate the 32 organisations globally that have signed their Accessible by Design pledge to create accessible communications.

Why not mark the occasion by joining the accessible communications revolution? By signing the pledge, your organisation will commit to making content accessible from conception to delivery. It’s a simple yet impactful way to help bridge the disability-inclusion gap.
