Bupa’s Valuable 500 Commitment:
Disability and neurodiversity inclusion continues to be an integral part of Bupa Global & UK’s inclusion and diversity agenda.
- Following our previous commitment to completing in-depth listening and action groups with our disabled and neurodiverse employees to better understand their needs, we have completely rebuilt our workplace adjustment process. By creating a new triage team with clear points of contact, colleagues are able to access expertise and support much faster. We’ve also partnered closely with Access to Work to make better use of their specialist support. The process is continually reviewed and evolved as we gather user experiences and feedback.
- Our intersectional employee network, Be You, facilitates regular peer support groups to provide essential moments of connection for colleagues who are facing challenges or looking for help.
- We are continually reviewing our recruitment processes, widening our approach to sourcing and attracting talent, and making sure our candidates have an inclusive experience.
- We’re establishing opportunities to provide internships for disabled and neurodiverse candidates to help them access employment.
- We are constantly reviewing and improving the digital accessibility of our website and digital products. We have a Digital Accessibility Champions network who work hard to embed accessibility thinking into the design and build of our digital products to ensure we are as inclusive as possible.
- We are partnered with Paralympics GB to raise awareness of disability inclusion in the workplace and broader society.
