Jacobs’s Valuable 500 Commitment:
At Jacobs, we want people to feel included, that they belong, and that there is no limit to who they can be and what we can achieve together. Inclusion is about tangible action that drives meaningful, measurable change both in our company and in the communities we serve and creates a culture of belonging where everyone can thrive. We value the unique insights and talents that people living with disabilities and their carers bring to our culture and business practices.
As proud members of the Valuable 500, we’re committed to creating an inclusive global economy where people living with disabilities participate fully and meaningfully.
With the full backing of our global Senior Leadership Team, we commit to taking tangible actions to drive a step change in disability awareness ‐ not only within our organization but with our clients, suppliers and the communities in which we serve.
Our commitment includes:
- Supporting and empowering employees with disabilities and their allies through our disability network ACE (Access, Connect, Empower). ACE provides a platform to consult and learn from our colleagues’ lived experiences of disability and being carers, connecting global employees with similar experiences and empowering all those living with disability to bring their whole selves to work. ACE is represented at the highest level of the company through sponsors from our Executive Leadership Team.
- Driving stronger measurement and accountability for disability inclusion through all levels of our organization, with emphasis on raising awareness and understanding in front line managers to promote positive and inclusive leadership.
- Intensifying our focus on accessibility by targeting both physical and digital workplace adjustments. This is a key consideration as we transform and update our offices around the world and empower our people to embrace new standards in communication and working.
- Focusing on recruiting, retaining and developing the best disabled talent through targeted campaigns, disability positive communications and representations. Widening our efforts to include facilitating better outcomes for people with disabilities in the communities that we serve. As a global industry leader deploying more than 70 million hours of intellect to some of the world’s biggest companies and governments, we commit to using our influence to create more disability inclusive policies and projects, encouraging our stakeholders to join us on our journey to better support the communities we jointly serve.
Our continued commitment to the Valuable 500 is a great source of motivation to employees at every level of Jacobs, ensuring that people of all abilities are valued, supported, and embraced. We recognize the importance of making these commitments to truly manifest our brand promise of “Challenging today. Reinventing tomorrow.”
