Odgers Berndston’s Valuable 500 Commitment:
We are committed to advancing inclusion and diversity in Odgers Berndtson and the world at large. As a leading executive search firm, we aim to help our clients address their diversity challenges through more inclusive executive search processes. We want to become a recognised disability-inclusive leader and champion for disability awareness amongst our employees, but also more broadly within the professional services community and the workforce at large.
We will commit:
-
To cultivate an inclusive culture and working environment where everyone has a sense of belonging and equal opportunity.
-
To inspire a culture where all employees are thoughtful of each other’s differences and we encourage our colleagues to challenge stereotypical assumptions and bias, both in our organization and in the work we do for our clients.
-
To continue to provide information and deliver meaningful advice and action in support of those with disability within our business through our Odgers Berndtson Disability Allies Group. Our Disability Allies Group is made up of representatives from across the business, including board members, and meets at least once a quarter. In the last year we have established a Disability Code, ‘Respecting Differences’, enhanced our own recruitment processes (and those for our clients) through more accessible technologies and inclusive advertising, and launched several awareness-raising events and communications across the business.
-
As part of the Disability Confident Employer Scheme, we subscribe to changing behavior and cultures in our own businesses, networks and communities whilst reaping the benefits of inclusive recruitment practices.
-
To work with Leonard Cheshire’s Change100 Programme to promote accessibility to our Summer Internship Scheme for students with a disability.
