Shizuoka Bank, Ltd.’s Valuable 500 Commitment:

Shizuoka Bank Group regards diversity and inclusion as materiality in management, and puts thoughts on diversity and SDGs in “COLORs”, the name of its 14th Medium-term Business Plan which started in Apr. 2020, promoting various activities. We set the following commitment with the intention to further enforce current activities on joining The Valuable 500. We will continue to promote diversity and inclusion as a group-wide effort, aiming at sustainable growth as well as increase in corporate value.

With the intention to actively support independence and participation to the society by people with disabilities by setting working environment where they can comfortably work with sense of fulfillment, Shizuoka Bank established “Shizugin Heartful Co., Ltd.” in Oct. 2019, and received the special subsidiary company certification in May 2020.

We will keep making effort to provide workplace where people with diversified value, regardless of whether they are disabled or not, can respect each other and work effectively.

As an example of barrier-free branches, Shizuoka Bank provides handsets for voice guidance on ATMs for visually impaired customers. Besides, some branches are equipped with “COMUOON”, machines to assist conversation for customers who are deaf and hard of hearing, and bank staffs read or write on behalf of customers when needed.

We will continue to improve branches and services so that all customers can access to financial services without worry.

By supporting such organizations that assist social participation by disabled people and working on higher recognition of para-sports including support for activities by disabled athletes, Shizuoka Bank Group contributes to realization of society where diversity is appreciated.
