I’m Katy Talikowska and I am in the wonderful and enviable position of being the CEO of the Valuable 500. I am a white woman, who is tanilisingly close to 50, shoulder length brown hair and my pronouns are she/ her. I’m really excited to speak with you about Generation Valuable, a groundbreaking 6-month programme that’s designed to transform the leadership landscape for good.

Together with our expert delivery partner, Moving Ahead, we will empower disabled talent through structured, developmental mentoring on an unprecedented scale.

We’ll pair experienced executives with emerging disabled leaders, creating dynamic mentoring partnerships that promote personal growth and foster transformative organisational change.

Generation Valuable mentees will gain the leadership skills to accelerate their careers and reshape their workplaces as trailblazers for inclusive leadership. As they rise through the ranks, they will become living proof of the value that diverse perspectives bring to the executive level.

Mentors will gain transformative insights into inclusivity, elevating their leadership skills and positioning them as powerful agents of change. Their expanded perspective will drive strategic decision making and foster more inclusive policies and practices throughout their organisations.

Mentoring is a tried and tested way to create powerful impact, but this doesn’t happen by accident. Both mentors and mentees need structure, guidance, and accountability.

That’s where the experts at Moving Ahead come in.

Together we have developed three cohorts, which will each run for six months over the next two years, taking us to SYNC25 – the world’s first Accountability Summit on Disability Inclusion. The first cohort is starting in November, with further cohorts beginning in January and April 2025.

As well as being part of a mentoring relationship, participants engage in the programme’s core events – specially designed digital sessions which focus on leadership development, problem-solving, and strategic planning through an inclusivity lens.

What sets these events apart are the incredible speakers and subject matter experts from Moving Ahead’s world-renowned Speaker Academy.

Participants will have access to a broad network of professionals, fostering invaluable cross-industry connections. The programme uses D2L’s Brightspace learning platform to deliver accessible learning materials and interactions that adapt to diverse learning needs and styles.

Generation Valuable is now open to all large companies, not just Valuable 500 partners and companies. Non-Valuable 500 companies will still need to meet our private sector criteria and employ at least 1000 employees.
