GAAD 2022.

Join us on May 19th to celebrate the 11th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD)!

The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion, and the more than one billion people with disabilities around the world.

At the Valuable 500, we believe that accessibility is an everyone issue. Every user deserves a first-rate digital experience on the web. People with disabilities must be able to experience web-based services, content and other digital products with the same successful outcome as non-disabled people.

This awareness and commitment to inclusion is the goal of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), a global event that shines a light on digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities.

Help us spread the word and celebrate GAAD by sharing the posts below on social media.

ACCESSIBILITY.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a chance to raise awareness about digital accessibility, so it’s even more important than ever to make sure your social media posts are accessible.

What to do.

Make sure you include alternative text image description when posting on social media so that your content is accessible to everyone – especially people who use screen readers.

If you’re planning to share a video, you should also make sure that it’s captioned.

How to do it.
